Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small flathead screwdriver and a new CR2032 battery.
  • Ensure you are in a clean, well-lit space to avoid losing small parts.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the seam of the key fob where the two halves meet.
  • Carefully insert the small flathead screwdriver into the seam and gently twist to pry the key fob open. Take care not to damage the plastic casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Once the fob is open, identify the battery compartment.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (positive side up).
  • Carefully remove the old battery by pushing it out from the side with your fingers or the screwdriver.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Take the new CR2032 battery and insert it into the compartment, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up as noted earlier.
  • Press down gently to ensure it is properly seated in the compartment.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until you hear a click, indicating it is securely closed.
  • Verify that all buttons function properly.
