Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts before starting.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Allow the engine to cool down before working on any components.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, soft cloth, screwdriver.
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body.
  • Use the throttle body cleaner and soft cloth to clean the inside of the throttle body. Ensure no residue remains.
  • Reattach the air intake duct securely.
3. Check and Replace the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (if faulty)
  • Tools Required: Multimeter, socket set.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the accelerator pedal position sensor.
  • Use a multimeter to check the resistance across the sensor terminals while pressing the pedal. Compare with specifications in the service manual.
  • If the sensor is faulty, remove it using a socket set and replace it with a new one. Reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Inspect and Clean the MAF Sensor
  • Tools Required: MAF cleaner, screwdriver.
  • Locate the MAF sensor in the air intake duct.
  • Remove the MAF sensor carefully without damaging it.
  • Spray MAF cleaner on the sensor and let it dry completely before reinstalling.
5. Check Fuel System Pressure
  • Tools Required: Fuel pressure gauge.
  • Locate the fuel rail and attach the fuel pressure gauge.
  • Start the engine and check the fuel pressure. Compare with the specifications in the service manual.
  • If pressure is low, inspect the fuel pump and filter for issues.
6. Reconnect Battery and Test
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Start the engine and test the throttle response.
