Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is turned off.
  • Gather necessary tools: lint-free cloth or paper towel.
2. Checking Oil Level
  1. Locate the Dipstick: Open the hood and find the dipstick, usually located near the engine block.
  2. Remove and Clean the Dipstick:
    • Pull the dipstick out completely.
    • Wipe the end of the dipstick with a lint-free cloth to remove oil.
  3. Reinsert the Dipstick:
    • Insert the dipstick back into the tube until it is fully seated.
  4. Check the Oil Level:
    • Pull the dipstick out again and observe the oil level.
    • The oil should be between the 'Full' and 'Add' marks.
  5. Assess Oil Condition:
    • Check the color and consistency of the oil; it should be smooth and amber-colored. If it appears dark or gritty, consider an oil change.
3. Adding Oil (if necessary)
  1. Prepare to Add Oil: If the oil level is below the 'Add' mark, prepare to add oil.
  2. Locate the Oil Filler Cap: Find the oil filler cap on top of the engine, usually marked with an oil can symbol.
  3. Add Oil:
    • Remove the cap and use a funnel to pour in the appropriate type of oil (refer to the owner’s manual for specifications).
    • Add oil gradually, checking the dipstick frequently until the correct level is reached.
  4. Replace the Cap: Once the desired level is achieved, securely replace the oil filler cap.
