Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and securely supported with jack stands.
2. Remove Wheel
  • Use a lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts while the vehicle is on the ground.
  • Raise the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
  • Remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel.
3. Inspect Wheel Bearing
  • Check Bearing Play: Grasp the wheel at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions and wiggle to check for any movement indicating worn bearings.
  • Inspect Dust Seal: Examine the dust seal for any signs of leakage or damage.
4. Replace Wheel Bearing (if necessary)
  • Remove Brake Caliper: Unbolt and remove the brake caliper using a socket set. Secure it to the suspension with a bungee cord to avoid straining the brake line.
