Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Unscrew any bolts or clips securing the engine cover.
  • Carefully lift and remove the cover to access the fuel rail.
3. Disconnect Fuel Rail
  • Locate the fuel rail and disconnect the fuel lines using a fuel line removal tool.
  • Unplug the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors.
  • Remove the bolts securing the fuel rail to the intake manifold.
4. Remove Fuel Injectors
  • Gently pull the fuel rail away from the engine, ensuring the injectors come out with it.
  • Carefully remove each injector from the fuel rail, noting their orientation.
5. Install New Fuel Injectors
  • Lubricate the O-rings on the new fuel injectors with clean engine oil to ensure a proper seal.
  • Insert the new injectors into the fuel rail, ensuring they are seated properly.
  • Reattach the fuel rail to the intake manifold and secure it with bolts.
6. Reconnect Fuel Lines and Electrical Connectors
  • Reconnect the fuel lines to the fuel rail, ensuring they are secure and free of leaks.
  • Plug in the electrical connectors to each fuel injector.
7. Reinstall Engine Cover
  • Place the engine cover back on and secure it with bolts or clips.
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
8. Final Checks
  • Replace the fuel pump fuse.
  • Start the engine and allow it to idle for a few minutes while checking for leaks.
