Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, flashlight
  • Safety Warnings: Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface, and the ignition is off.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment by pulling the release on the right side.
  2. Remove any contents from the glove compartment.
  3. Locate and unclip the damper arm on the right side of the glove compartment; this will allow it to drop fully.
  4. Gently press in the sides of the glove compartment to release it from the dashboard and remove it.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the cabin air filter cover, which is typically a rectangular plastic panel.
  2. Unclip or unscrew the cover (depending on your model) and remove it.
  3. Carefully pull out the old cabin air filter, noting the orientation of airflow (usually indicated by arrows on the filter).
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Insert the new cabin air filter into the housing, ensuring it matches the airflow direction indicated on the filter.
  2. Reattach the cabin air filter cover, making sure it is securely fastened.
  3. Reinstall the glove compartment by aligning its hinges and pressing it back into place until it clicks.
5. Final Checks
  1. Reattach the damper arm to the glove compartment.
  2. Verify that the glove compartment opens and closes smoothly.
  3. Check for any loose items or tools before starting the vehicle.
