Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather the necessary tools: small flathead screwdriver or a coin, and a new CR2032 battery.
  • Ensure you are working in a clean, well-lit area to avoid losing small components.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the seam of the key fob where the two halves meet.
  • Insert the flathead screwdriver or coin into the seam and gently twist to pry open the fob.
  • Carefully separate the two halves without damaging the casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Identify the battery location inside the fob.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (positive and negative sides).
  • Gently pry out the old battery using the screwdriver, taking care not to damage any internal components.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Place the new CR2032 battery into the slot, ensuring that it is oriented the same way the old battery was (positive side facing the correct direction).
  • Press down gently until the battery is securely in place.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob back together.
  • Press the two halves together until you hear a click, indicating they are securely closed.
  • Ensure there are no gaps between the halves.
