Solution

1. Preparation

• Gather tools and parts required for the job.
• Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shock or shorts.

2. Clean or Replace Air Filter

• Remove the air filter housing cover using a socket set.
• Take out the old air filter and inspect it.
• If dirty, clean it or replace it with a new one.
• Reinstall the air filter housing cover.

3. Inspect and Clean Throttle Body

• Remove the air intake duct from the throttle body.
• Use a throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the throttle plate and bore.
• Ensure the throttle plate moves freely without binding, and reattach the duct.

4. Replace Spark Plugs

• Remove the ignition coil packs by disconnecting their electrical connectors and unbolting them.
• Use a spark plug socket to remove the old spark plugs.
• Check the gap on new spark plugs and adjust if necessary.
• Install new spark plugs and reattach the ignition coils.

5. Test Fuel System

• Connect the fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail.
• Turn the ignition to the ON position to check the pressure reading.
• If out of specifications, replace the fuel pump or fuel filter as necessary.
