Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the parking brake is engaged.
2. Remove Wheel Assembly
  • Use a jack to lift the vehicle and secure it with jack stands.
  • Remove the lug nuts using a lug wrench and take off the wheel.
3. Inspect and Replace Brake Pads
  • Remove the caliper bolts and carefully slide the caliper off the rotor.
  • Inspect the brake pads for thickness; replace if they are worn down to 3mm or less.
  • To replace pads:
    • Remove the old pads.
    • Install new brake pads, ensuring they are properly seated in the caliper bracket.
4. Inspect and Resurface/Replace Rotors
  • Check the rotor using a dial gauge for warping (should be within manufacturer specifications).
  • If warped, either resurface the rotors or replace them.
