Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, Torx driver (if applicable), clean cloth.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is turned off.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical issues.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove any contents.
  2. Locate the damper arm on the right side of the glove compartment and detach it by gently pulling it off.
  3. Squeeze the sides of the glove compartment to allow it to drop down fully, providing access to the filter cover.
3. Remove Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the cabin air filter cover, which is typically a rectangular panel near the back of the glove compartment.
  2. Remove the cover by either unscrewing it or unclipping it, depending on the design.
  3. Carefully pull out the old cabin air filter, noting its orientation for proper installation of the new filter.
4. Install New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Take the new cabin air filter and ensure it is positioned the same way as the old one (check for airflow direction arrows).
  2. Slide the new filter into the housing firmly.
  3. Reattach the filter cover, ensuring it is secure.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  1. Lift the glove compartment back into its original position.
  2. Reattach the damper arm to the right side of the glove compartment.
  3. Close the glove compartment and ensure it operates smoothly.
