Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the ignition is turned off.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid triggering any airbag deployment during the reset process.
2. Access the SRS Connector
  1. Remove the driver's side lower dash panel using a socket set.
  2. Locate the SRS airbag connector under the dash (typically a yellow connector).
  3. Disconnect the SRS connector by pressing the release tab.
3. Reset the Airbag System
  1. Wait for at least 10 minutes after disconnecting the battery before proceeding to ensure all systems are powered down.
  2. Reconnect the SRS airbag connector securely.
  3. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
4. Clear SRS Light
  1. Use the OBD-II scanner to clear any fault codes from the SRS system.
  2. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  3. Check the SRS light; it should flash briefly and then turn off.
