Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Inspect and Replace Spark Plug
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, spark plug socket.
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Remove the engine cover if applicable.
    2. Use a spark plug socket to remove the spark plug from cylinder 1.
    3. Inspect the spark plug for wear. If damaged, replace it with a new spark plug (specifications: NGK ILZKR7B11).
    4. Torque the new spark plug to 13 lb-ft (17.5 Nm).
3. Check and Replace Ignition Coil
  • Tools Required: Torque wrench, socket set.
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Disconnect the ignition coil connector.
    2. Remove the ignition coil bolt using the appropriate socket.
    3. Pull out the ignition coil and inspect for cracks or damage. If faulty, replace it with a new ignition coil (OEM part recommended).
    4. Reinstall the ignition coil and torque the bolt to 7.2 lb-ft (10 Nm).
    5. Reconnect the ignition coil connector.
4. Inspect and Replace Fuel Injector
  • Tools Required: Fuel line disconnect tool, socket set.
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Relieve fuel pressure by removing the fuel pump relay and starting the engine until it stalls.
    2. Disconnect the fuel line from the injector using a fuel line disconnect tool.
    3. Remove the injector retaining clips and the injector from the rail.
    4. Inspect the injector for clogs. If necessary, clean or replace the fuel injector (OEM recommended).
    5. Reinstall the injector and reattach the fuel line.
5. Reassemble and Connect Battery
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Reinstall any removed components such as the engine cover.
    2. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
    3. Start the engine and allow it to reach operating temperature.
