my Toyota RAV4 XA50 (2019-2024) struggles to accelerate, what's wrong?

1. Preparation

• Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, fuel pressure gauge, multimeter, socket set, torque wrench, cleaning supplies.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
• Allow the engine to cool before starting work.

2. Inspect and Clean the Throttle Body

• Remove the air intake duct by loosening the clamps and disconnecting any sensors.
• Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the inside of the throttle body.
• Reinstall the air intake duct and ensure all connections are secure.

3. Replace Spark Plugs

• Remove the ignition coil(s) by unbolting them and disconnecting the electrical connectors.
• Unscrew the old spark plugs using a socket wrench.
• Install new spark plugs, ensuring they are gapped according to manufacturer specifications (typically around 0.044 inches for RAV4).
