Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, small flathead screwdriver, replacement key fob battery (CR2032 or as specified).
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked safely and the ignition is off.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Using the small flathead screwdriver, gently pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Remove the old battery and note the orientation of the battery.
  3. Insert the new battery (CR2032), ensuring the positive side faces the correct direction.
  4. Snap the fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Sit in the driver’s seat and close all doors.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine).
  3. Press and hold the "Lock" button on the key fob for about 5 seconds.
  4. Turn the key back to "OFF" and remove it.
  5. Test the key fob to see if the door locks respond.
4. Inspect and Test Door Lock Actuators
  1. Remove the door panel using appropriate tools to access the door lock mechanism.
  2. Check the wiring harness for any damage or disconnections.
  3. Test the door lock actuators with a multimeter to ensure they receive the correct voltage when activated.
  4. If an actuator is faulty, replace it with a new one.
5. Reassemble Components
  1. Reattach the door panel securely.
  2. Ensure all screws and clips are replaced.
  3. Test the door locks with the key fob before securing everything.
