Solution

1. Preparation

• Gather tools and parts needed for the repair.
• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface with the engine off.
• Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shocks.

2. Clean the Throttle Body

• Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, screwdriver set, rags.
• Remove the air intake duct from the throttle body.
• Spray throttle body cleaner on a rag and wipe the inside of the throttle body until clean.
• Ensure the throttle plate moves freely and is not sticking.
• Reattach the air intake duct securely.

3. Inspect and Clean the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC)

• Tools Required: Socket set, IAC cleaner.
• Locate the IAC on the throttle body or intake manifold.
• Remove the IAC from its mounting.
• Clean the IAC with IAC cleaner to remove carbon deposits.
• Reinstall the IAC and ensure it is properly secured.

4. Test and Replace the Fuel Filter (if necessary)

• Tools Required: Fuel line disconnect tool, wrench set, replacement fuel filter.
• Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse while the engine is running until it stalls.
