Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Safety goggles, gloves, multimeter, battery terminal cleaner, wrench set.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe, well-ventilated area with the engine off.
  • Wear safety goggles and gloves for protection.
2. Disconnect Battery
  • Use a wrench to loosen the negative terminal first (black cable) and remove it.
  • Next, loosen and remove the positive terminal (red cable).
  • Secure both cables away from the battery terminals to prevent accidental contact.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Remove any securing brackets or hold-downs using the appropriate tools.
  • Lift the battery out of the tray carefully, as it can be heavy.
4. Install New Battery
  • Place the new battery into the tray, ensuring it is oriented the same way as the old battery.
  • Secure the battery with any brackets or hold-downs previously removed.
5. Reconnect Battery
  • Connect the positive terminal (red cable) first and tighten securely.
  • Follow with the negative terminal (black cable) and tighten securely.
  • Check connections to ensure they are snug.
6. Clean Up and Test
  • Dispose of the old battery properly at a recycling center.
  • Start the vehicle to ensure it starts without hesitation and check that all electrical systems function properly.
