Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Park the vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the suspension.
2. Inspect and Replace Components
  1. Front Suspension Inspection

    • Use a jack to lift the front of the vehicle and secure it on jack stands.
    • Visually inspect the control arms, ball joints, and bushings for wear.
    • If any components are worn or damaged, proceed to replace them.
  2. Replace Ball Joints (if necessary)

    • Remove the wheel using a socket set.
    • Detach the brake caliper and rotor to access the ball joint.
    • Use a ball joint separator to remove the old ball joint.
    • Install the new ball joint using a torque wrench to the manufacturer's specified torque.
  3. Replace Control Arm Bushings (if necessary)

    • Remove the control arm from the vehicle by unbolting it from the frame and the steering knuckle.
    • Press out the old bushings using a bushing removal tool.
    • Press in the new bushings and reattach the control arm.
  4. Check and Replace CV Joints (if necessary)

    • If CV joints are found to be damaged, remove the axle by unbolting it from the differential and hub assembly.
    • Replace the CV joint or the entire axle assembly as needed.
  5. Reassemble and Lower Vehicle

    • Reattach all components in reverse order of disassembly.
    • Ensure all bolts are torqued to the specified values.
    • Reinstall the wheel and lower the vehicle back to the ground.
