Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: a small screwdriver, multimeter, and new battery (if needed).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a well-lit area and the ignition is OFF.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Use a small screwdriver to carefully open the key fob casing.
  2. Remove the old battery and note the orientation (positive/negative).
  3. Insert the new battery in the same orientation.
  4. Snap the key fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob
  1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position without starting the engine.
  2. Press and hold the "Unlock" button on the key fob for 5 seconds.
  3. While holding the "Unlock" button, press the "Lock" button three times.
  4. Release the "Unlock" button. The locks should cycle to indicate successful programming.
4. Inspect and Test
  1. Test the remote key functions (lock/unlock, panic button).
  2. If the remote key still does not work, proceed to check the vehicle’s central locking system and wiring.
