Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small flathead screwdriver, replacement battery (CR2032 or as specified in the manual).
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe location.
  • Wear gloves to avoid static damage to electronic components.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the Key Fob

    • Use the small flathead screwdriver to carefully pry open the key fob casing at the designated notch.
    • Take care not to damage the casing or internal components.
  2. Remove Old Battery

    • Note the orientation of the current battery (positive side up).
    • Gently remove the old battery using the screwdriver or fingers.
  3. Install New Battery

    • Insert the new battery in the same orientation as the old one.
    • Ensure it is seated properly in the holder.
  4. Reassemble Key Fob

    • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they click into place.
    • Ensure there are no gaps between the two halves.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Enter Programming Mode

    • Sit in the driver’s seat with the key fob.
    • Insert the vehicle key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine).
  2. Press Key Fob Buttons

    • Press the "Unlock" button on the key fob for approximately 5 seconds.
    • Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
  3. Test Key Fob Functionality

    • Test the key fob to ensure it now works for locking and unlocking doors.
