Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and components.
  • Ensure you are working in a clean, dry area to avoid losing small parts.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
    • Tip: Insert the screwdriver into the seam where the two halves of the fob meet and twist gently.
  • Carefully separate the two halves to avoid damaging any internal components.
3. Remove Old Battery
  • Locate the battery compartment inside the key fob.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (positive and negative sides) before removal.
  • Gently lift the old battery out of the compartment using your fingers or a non-metallic tool.
4. Install New Battery
  • Insert a new CR2032 battery into the compartment, ensuring it is oriented the same way as the old battery.
    • Tip: The positive (+) side should be facing up.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob casing.
  • Press them together firmly until they click into place.
  • Ensure there are no gaps between the casing halves.
6. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand close to the vehicle and test the key fob by pressing the lock and unlock buttons.
  • Verify that the key fob operates as expected.
