Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver (if necessary)
    • New cabin air filter
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Ensure the vehicle is turned off and keys are removed from the ignition.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment fully.
  2. Locate the stop arms on both sides of the glove compartment and gently squeeze them inward to allow the glove compartment to drop down completely.
  3. If applicable, remove any cover or panel securing the cabin air filter housing (may require a flathead screwdriver).
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the cabin air filter housing; it is usually a rectangular box.
  2. Slide the old cabin air filter out of the housing—note the orientation of the filter for correct installation of the new one.
  3. Inspect the housing for any debris or residue and clean if necessary.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Take the new cabin air filter and ensure it matches the size and shape of the old one.
  2. Insert the new filter into the housing, ensuring it is oriented correctly (airflow direction indicated on the filter).
  3. Reattach any cover or panel to the cabin air filter housing if removed.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  1. Raise the glove compartment back into place.
  2. Push the stop arms back into position to secure the glove compartment.
  3. Close the glove compartment door.
