Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small screwdriver, multimeter, and replacement battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked safely and is in the "off" position.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the key fob using a small screwdriver by gently prying apart the two halves.
  2. Remove the old battery carefully, noting its orientation.
  3. Insert the new battery (CR2032) ensuring the correct polarity (+ side facing up).
  4. Snap the key fob halves back together until fully secured.
3. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Sit in the driver’s seat with all doors closed.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn to the “On” position (do not start the engine).
  3. Press the "Lock" button on the key fob for about 5 seconds.
