Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the battery by removing the negative terminal to prevent electrical shock.
  • Gather required tools and parts.
2. Remove Engine Cover (if applicable)
  • Tools Required: Socket set
  • Locate the bolts securing the engine cover and remove them using a socket wrench.
  • Gently lift off the engine cover and set it aside.
3. Access Ignition Coils
  • Identify the ignition coils located on top of the engine, typically attached to the cylinder head.
  • Disconnect any electrical connectors by pressing the release tab and pulling the connector off gently.
4. Remove Old Ignition Coil
  • Tools Required: Socket set, ratchet
  • Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts securing the ignition coil.
  • Carefully pull the ignition coil straight out of the spark plug well.
5. Install New Ignition Coil
  • Ensure the new ignition coil is compatible with the vehicle.
  • Align the new ignition coil with the spark plug well and gently press it into place.
  • Secure it with the bolts removed earlier and tighten to the manufacturer's specifications (usually around 7-10 Nm).
6. Reconnect Electrical Connectors
  • Reattach the electrical connectors to the ignition coil until you hear a click, indicating a secure connection.
7. Reinstall Engine Cover (if applicable)
  • Place the engine cover back onto the engine and secure it with the bolts.
8. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery and ensure it is tight.
