Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: flathead screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, and a new cabin air filter.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
  • Open the glove compartment and remove any items stored inside.
2. Remove the Glove Compartment
  • Locate the damper arm on the right side of the glove compartment and detach it by gently pulling it off.
  • Unscrew the screws securing the glove compartment using a Phillips screwdriver.
  • Gently push in the sides of the glove compartment to release it from the dashboard and lower it down to gain access to the cabin air filter.
3. Replace the Cabin Air Filter
  • Locate the cabin air filter cover, which is typically a plastic panel that can be unlatched or unscrewed.
  • Remove the cover by either unlatching or unscrewing it.
  • Take out the old cabin air filter and discard it.
  • Insert the new cabin air filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly according to the airflow direction indicated on the filter.
4. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  • Reattach the cabin air filter cover securely.
  • Lift the glove compartment and align it back into the dashboard.
  • Reinstall the screws to secure the glove compartment in place.
  • Reconnect the damper arm to the glove compartment.
