Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather the necessary tools and replacement part.
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool
    • Torque wrench (if needed for any panel screws)
  • Parts Required:
    • New cabin air filter
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the ignition is off.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter Compartment
  • Open the glove compartment and remove any contents to make space.
  • Locate the two stops (stoppers) on either side of the glove compartment and gently push them inward to allow the glove compartment to drop down fully.
  • Disconnect the damper arm from the right side of the glove compartment (if equipped) by gently pulling it off.
3. Remove the Cabin Air Filter Cover
  • Locate the cabin air filter cover, which is typically situated behind the glove box.
  • Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry off the cover or locate the clips that hold it in place and remove them.
  • Carefully set the cover aside.
4. Replace the Cabin Air Filter
  • Slide out the old cabin air filter from its housing. Note the orientation of the filter for proper installation of the new one.
  • Insert the new cabin air filter into the housing, ensuring it is oriented correctly to match the airflow direction indicated on the filter.
5. Reassemble the Components
  • Reattach the cabin air filter cover securely.
  • Reconnect the damper arm to the glove compartment (if applicable).
  • Gently push the glove compartment back into place until it clicks, ensuring the stoppers are in their proper position.
