Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, and screwdrivers.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface with the engine off and cool.
2. Check and Top Up Coolant
  • Open the hood and locate the coolant reservoir.
  • Remove the cap and check the coolant level; if low, top up with the appropriate coolant mixture as specified in the owner's manual.
  • Run the engine and allow it to reach operating temperature, checking for any leaks around the reservoir.
3. Inspect and Replace Blend Door Actuator
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety.
  • Remove the dashboard trim panel covering the climate control unit using a socket set.
  • Remove screws securing the climate control unit and carefully pull it out to access the blend door actuator.
  • Disconnect the actuator's electrical connector and remove it from its mounting.
  • Install the new blend door actuator, reconnect the electrical connector, and secure it in place.
  • Reassemble the dashboard trim and reconnect the battery.
4. Check HVAC Control Module
  • If the issue persists, remove the climate control module again.
  • Use a multimeter to test for proper voltage and continuity through the module connections.
  • If faulty, replace with a new module, following the manufacturer's specifications.
