Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and securely supported with jack stands.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shock.
2. Remove the Left Rear Wheel
  • Use a socket set to remove the lug nuts.
  • Carefully take off the left rear wheel and set it aside.
3. Inspect and Replace the Wheel Speed Sensor
  • Locate the left rear wheel speed sensor mounted on the wheel hub.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the wheel speed sensor.
  • Remove the sensor from its mounting position using a socket or wrench.
  • If damaged, install a new wheel speed sensor by reversing the removal steps.
  • Torque the sensor to manufacturer specifications (typically around 8-10 Nm).
4. Reconnect the Wiring
  • Inspect the wiring harness for any frays or damage, repairing as necessary.
  • Reconnect the electrical connector to the new wheel speed sensor securely.
5. Reinstall the Wheel and Reconnect Battery
  • Place the left rear wheel back onto the hub and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
  • Lower the vehicle and torque the lug nuts to the manufacturer’s specifications (usually around 110 Nm).
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
