Solution

1. Preparation

• Gather tools and parts required.
• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is turned off.
• Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts during repair.

2. Recharge Refrigerant

• Tools Required: Manifold gauge set, refrigerant canister, safety gloves.
• Connect the low-pressure side of the manifold gauge to the AC service port.
• Open the valve on the refrigerant canister and allow refrigerant to flow into the system until the proper pressure is reached (check specifications for the correct pressure).
• Monitor the gauge to ensure the system is filled appropriately.

3. Replace AC Compressor (if necessary)

• Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, AC compressor replacement kit, AC oil.
• Remove the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner.
• Disconnect the electrical connector from the AC compressor.
• Remove the mounting bolts and carefully extract the compressor from its housing.
• Place the new compressor in position, ensuring it aligns with the mounting brackets.
• Install new mounting bolts and tighten them to manufacturer specifications.
• Reconnect the electrical connector and replace the serpentine belt.
