Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, multimeter, OBD-II scanner, flathead screwdriver, dielectric grease.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical shorts.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Remove any screws or bolts holding the engine cover in place using the appropriate socket.
  • Carefully lift the engine cover off and set it aside.
3. Disconnect Ignition Coil
  • Locate the ignition coil(s); there may be multiple depending on the engine configuration.
  • Gently disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition coil by pressing the release tab and pulling it off.
  • Remove the bolt or screws securing the ignition coil using the socket set.
4. Remove and Replace Ignition Coil
  • Carefully pull the ignition coil out of the cylinder head. If it's stuck, gently twist it while pulling.
  • Install the new ignition coil by aligning it with the cylinder head and pushing it down until it is seated properly.
  • Secure the ignition coil with the bolt or screws, tightening to the manufacturer's specified torque value.
5. Reconnect Electrical Connector
  • Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the inside of the electrical connector (optional).
  • Reconnect the electrical connector to the ignition coil until it clicks into place.
6. Reinstall Engine Cover
  • Place the engine cover back on and secure it with screws or bolts.
  • Reconnect the battery terminals, ensuring tight connections.
