Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and materials.
  • Ensure you have a replacement battery (typically CR2032).
  • Work in a clean, well-lit area to avoid losing small components.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the small notch or groove on the side of the key fob.
  • Use a flathead screwdriver or a coin to gently pry apart the two halves of the key fob, starting at the notch.
  • Carefully separate the two halves without damaging the plastic.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Identify the battery compartment inside the fob.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (which side is positive and negative).
  • Use a small flathead screwdriver to gently lift the battery out of its compartment.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Take the new CR2032 battery and insert it into the compartment, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing the correct direction as noted in the previous step.
  • Press down gently until the battery is seated securely.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob back together.
  • Press the halves together firmly until you hear a click, indicating they are securely closed.
  • Check the key fob buttons to ensure they are functioning properly before finalizing the assembly.
