Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shock.

Tools Required:

  • Socket set
  • Multimeter
  • Screwdriver set
  • Pliers
  • Torque wrench
2. Remove the Rear Wiper Arm
  • Use a 13mm socket to remove the nut securing the rear wiper arm.
  • Gently rock the wiper arm back and forth to remove it from the splined shaft. Be cautious not to damage the glass.
3. Remove the Rear Wiper Motor
  • Remove the interior trim panel from the rear hatch if necessary to access the motor.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor.
  • Remove the mounting bolts (usually T20 Torx screws) securing the rear wiper motor to the vehicle.
  • Carefully pull the motor out from the vehicle.
4. Inspect and Replace the Wiper Motor (if necessary)
  • If the motor is not functioning, test it with a multimeter to confirm it is defective.
  • If replacement is needed, install the new wiper motor by reversing the removal process.
  • Ensure all connectors are securely attached.
5. Reassemble Components
  • Reattach the rear wiper arm and secure it with the nut.
  • Reinstall the interior trim panel.
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
