Solution

1. Preparation

• Gather tools and parts.
• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety.

2. Clean the Throttle Body

• Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body using a socket set.
• Spray throttle body cleaner into the throttle body while manually opening the throttle plate.
• Wipe clean with a lint-free cloth to remove carbon deposits.
• Reattach the air intake duct securely.

3. Replace Spark Plugs

• Remove the ignition coil cover using a socket set.
• Disconnect the ignition coils from the wiring harness.
• Remove the ignition coils and spark plugs using a spark plug socket.
• Install new spark plugs, ensuring they are gapped according to manufacturer specifications.
• Reinstall the ignition coils and cover.

4. Check and Replace Fuel Filter (if necessary)

• Locate the fuel filter and relieve fuel pressure from the system.
• Disconnect the fuel lines from the filter using a fuel line disconnect tool.
• Replace the old fuel filter with a new one, ensuring correct orientation.
• Reconnect the fuel lines securely.

5. Inspect and Replace Coolant Temperature Sensor (if faulty)

• Locate the coolant temperature sensor, usually on the engine block.
• Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
