Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Allow the engine to cool before working in the engine compartment.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Screwdriver set, throttle body cleaner, rags
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body.
  • Spray throttle body cleaner onto a clean rag and wipe the interior of the throttle body.
  • Move the throttle plate manually (if accessible) to clean all surfaces thoroughly.
  • Reattach the air intake duct securely.
3. Replace Throttle Position Sensor (if faulty)
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle position sensor.
  • Remove the sensor from its mounting location.
  • Install the new sensor and torque it to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Reconnect the electrical connector ensuring a secure fit.
4. Inspect and Clean MAF Sensor
  • Tools Required: MAF sensor cleaner, screwdriver set
  • Carefully remove the MAF sensor from its housing.
  • Spray MAF sensor cleaner onto the sensor elements, avoiding contact with the wiring.
  • Allow the sensor to dry completely before reinstalling.
5. Check Fuel System
  • Tools Required: Fuel pressure gauge
  • Connect the fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail.
  • Turn the ignition to the "ON" position (do not start) and check for proper fuel pressure according to manufacturer specifications.
  • If pressure is low, inspect the fuel pump and filter for issues.
