Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: Lint-free cloth or paper towel.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and the engine is cool.
2. Checking the Oil Level
  1. Remove the Dipstick: Pull the dipstick completely out of the tube.
  2. Wipe the Dipstick: Use the lint-free cloth or paper towel to clean the dipstick thoroughly, removing any oil residue.
  3. Reinsert the Dipstick: Insert the dipstick back into the tube fully, ensuring it is seated properly.
  4. Remove the Dipstick Again: Pull the dipstick out once more to check the oil level.
  5. Inspect the Oil Level: Look for the oil level mark on the dipstick. The oil should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" markers.
  6. Check Oil Condition: Observe the oil color and texture; it should be smooth and amber. If it is dark or gritty, consider an oil change.
3. Adding Oil (if necessary)
  1. Determine Oil Type: Use the owner's manual to find the recommended oil type and viscosity.
  2. Locate the Oil Fill Cap: Find the oil filler cap, usually on top of the engine.
  3. Add Oil: Remove the oil fill cap, and using a funnel, pour in the appropriate amount of oil as needed.
  4. Check Level Again: After adding oil, wait a few minutes, then recheck the dipstick to ensure the proper level is achieved.
