Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, socket set, torque wrench, compression tester, multimeter, injector cleaner, basic hand tools.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Allow the engine to cool before starting work.
2. Replace Spark Plug
  • Remove the ignition coil from cylinder 2:
    • Unscrew the mounting bolt using a socket set.
    • Gently pull the ignition coil out, being cautious not to damage any connectors.
  • Remove the spark plug:
    • Use a spark plug socket to unscrew the spark plug from cylinder 2.
    • Inspect the old spark plug for signs of wear or contamination.
  • Install the new spark plug:
    • Apply anti-seize lubricant on the threads of the new spark plug (if applicable).
    • Screw in the new spark plug by hand, then tighten to the manufacturer’s specified torque (typically around 20-30 Nm).
  • Reinstall the ignition coil and ensure it is secure.
3. Replace Ignition Coil (if needed)
  • If the ignition coil appears faulty, replace it:
    • Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition coil.
    • Unscrew the coil from the engine using a socket set.
    • Install the new ignition coil in reverse order of removal and reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Clean or Replace Fuel Injector (if needed)
  • Remove the fuel injector from cylinder 2:
    • Disconnect the fuel line and electrical connector.
    • Unscrew the injector from its mounting.
  • Clean the injector using an appropriate injector cleaner or replace it if it is clogged or damaged.
  • Reinstall the injector and reconnect all components.
5. Perform Compression Test (if needed)
  • Attach the compression tester to the spark plug hole of cylinder 2.
  • Crank the engine and note the compression reading.
  • Compare it to the manufacturer's specifications; low compression may indicate internal engine issues.
