Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: flathead screwdriver, small Phillips screwdriver, multimeter, and a replacement battery (CR2032 or as specified).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and turned off.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use the flathead screwdriver to carefully pry open the key fob casing without damaging it.
  • Remove the screws (if applicable) with a Phillips screwdriver to separate the two halves.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Identify the battery slot and remove the old battery.
  • Insert the new battery in the correct orientation (check for + and - markings).
  • Ensure the battery is seated properly in the slot.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob back together.
  • If screws were removed, reinsert them and tighten securely.
  • Snap the casing closed, verifying that there are no gaps.
5. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine.
  • Press the lock button on the key fob within 10 seconds.
  • Turn the key back to the "Off" position and remove it.
  • Test the key fob to confirm functionality.
