Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Check Transmission Fluid
  • Tools Required: Transmission dipstick, funnel, new transmission fluid.
  • Remove the transmission dipstick and inspect the fluid level and condition.
  • If the fluid is low, add the appropriate type of transmission fluid (refer to the owner’s manual for specifications).
  • If the fluid is dark or has a burnt smell, proceed to replace the transmission fluid.
3. Replace Transmission Fluid
  • Tools Required: Socket set, fluid pump, container for old fluid.
  • Drain the old transmission fluid by removing the drain plug or pan.
  • Remove the transmission filter (if applicable) and replace it with a new one.
  • Reinstall the drain plug or pan with a new gasket.
  • Refill with new transmission fluid through the dipstick tube using a fluid pump.
4. Inspect and Replace Throttle Position Sensor (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: Socket set, multimeter.
  • Locate the throttle position sensor on the throttle body.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness and remove the sensor.
  • Test the old sensor with a multimeter to check for proper resistance values.
  • If faulty, install a new throttle position sensor and reconnect the wiring harness.
5. Inspect Transmission Mounts
  • Tools Required: Jack and jack stands, socket set.
  • Using a jack, lift the vehicle and secure it with jack stands.
  • Visually inspect the transmission mounts for any cracks or excessive wear.
  • Replace any damaged mounts with new ones.
