1. Preparation

2. Check Brake Fluid Level
  • Open the hood and locate the brake master cylinder.
  • Remove the cap and inspect the brake fluid level.
  • If low, top off with the manufacturer-recommended brake fluid (DOT 4 or DOT 5.1).
3. Inspect Brake Lines and Components
  • Visually inspect all brake lines for signs of wear or leaks.
  • Check brake calipers and wheel cylinders for fluid leakage.

4. Bleed the Brake System
  • Start at the wheel furthest from the master cylinder (usually the right rear).
  • Attach a clear hose to the bleeder valve and place the other end in a container.
