  • Disconnect the vehicle battery to prevent any electrical issues.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  • Tools Required: Small flathead screwdriver, new CR2032 battery
  • Using the small flathead screwdriver, gently pry open the key fob casing.
  • Remove the old battery and dispose of it properly.
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive side is facing up.
  • Snap the key fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob
  • Tools Required: None
  • Sit in the driver's seat with all doors closed.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  • Press the "Unlock" button on the key fob five times within ten seconds.
  • Turn the ignition to the "OFF" position and remove the key.
  • Test the key fob to see if it works.
4. Check Central Locking System
  • Tools Required: Multimeter, socket set
  • Open the driver's side door and locate the central locking module, usually found under the dashboard.
  • Use a multimeter to check the voltage at the central locking module while pressing the key fob buttons.
  • If there is no voltage, inspect the wiring and connections for any loose or damaged wires.
