Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver (if needed)
    • Replacement cabin air filter
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove any items inside.
  2. Locate the limit stops on either side of the glove compartment and gently press them inward to allow the compartment to drop down fully.
  3. If applicable, remove the screws or clips securing the cabin air filter access cover using a flathead screwdriver.
  4. Carefully pull the access cover away from the housing to expose the cabin air filter.
3. Remove and Replace the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Grasp the old cabin air filter and pull it straight out of the housing. Note the orientation for the new filter installation.
  2. Inspect the filter area for any debris or contaminants and clean if necessary.
  3. Take the new cabin air filter and insert it into the housing, ensuring it is oriented correctly (follow any airflow direction arrows on the filter).
  4. Reattach the access cover by aligning it and securing it with screws or clips as necessary.
4. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  1. Lift the glove compartment back into place and gently push the limit stops back to secure it.
  2. Place all items back into the glove compartment.
