Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the vehicle's battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.

2. Inspect and Clean the IAC Valve
  1. Locate the idle air control valve on the throttle body.
  2. Remove the electrical connector from the IAC valve.
  3. Unscrew the IAC valve using a socket set and remove it from the throttle body.
  4. Clean the valve and its passage with throttle body cleaner to remove carbon buildup.
  5. Reinstall the IAC valve and reconnect the electrical connector.
3. Test and Replace the TPS
  1. Locate the throttle position sensor on the throttle body.
  2. Disconnect the TPS electrical connector.
  3. Using a multimeter, check the resistance values of the TPS while slowly opening the throttle.
  4. If the readings are inconsistent or out of specifications, replace the TPS with a new one.
