Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, torque wrench, transmission fluid, transmission filter kit.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the engine is off. Disconnect the battery before working on electrical systems.
2. Check and Replace Transmission Fluid
  1. Remove the transmission fluid dipstick and check fluid level and condition.
  2. If the fluid is low, add the recommended transmission fluid type specified in the owner's manual.
  3. If the fluid is dark or burnt, proceed to drain and replace the fluid.
    • Place a drain pan under the transmission pan and remove the pan bolts.
    • Carefully lower the pan and remove the old transmission filter.
    • Install the new filter, ensuring it is secured properly.
    • Reinstall the transmission pan with a new gasket and torque the bolts to the manufacturer's specifications.
3. Inspect and Replace Transmission Solenoid "A"
  1. Locate the transmission solenoid "A" according to the service manual.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the solenoid.
  3. Remove the solenoid from its mounting location.
  4. Install the new solenoid, ensuring it is seated correctly.
  5. Reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Reassemble and Refill
  1. Reconnect the battery.
  2. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes while checking for leaks.
