Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Allow the engine to cool if previously running.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, soft cloth or brush
  • Remove the intake duct to access the throttle body.
  • Spray throttle body cleaner into the throttle body to remove carbon buildup.
  • Wipe clean with a soft cloth or brush, ensuring no debris falls into the intake.
3. Inspect and Replace Throttle Position Sensor (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle position sensor.
  • Remove the mounting screws and take off the sensor.
  • Install the new throttle position sensor, making sure to torque the screws to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Check and Replace Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench
  • Disconnect the battery again for safety.
  • Remove any necessary covers to access the accelerator pedal position sensor.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
  • Remove the mounting screws and take out the sensor.
  • Install the new sensor, torque the screws as per specifications, and reconnect the electrical connector.
5. Reassemble and Connect Battery
  • Reattach the intake duct securely.
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
