Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather the necessary tools: a small flathead screwdriver and a new battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure you are working in a clean, well-lit area to avoid losing small components.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently insert into the seam of the key fob.
  • Twist the screwdriver to pry open the key fob casing carefully without damaging it.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Locate the battery inside the key fob.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (positive side up).
  • Carefully lift the battery out of its compartment using the screwdriver or your fingers.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery into the compartment, ensuring it is oriented the same way as the old battery (positive side up).
  • Press down gently until the battery is securely seated in place.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob casing.
  • Press the two halves together firmly until you hear a click, indicating they are securely closed.
6. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand near the vehicle and test the key fob functions (lock/unlock buttons).
  • Verify that the vehicle responds to the key fob as expected.
