Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety during repairs.
2. Inspect and Replace Wheel Speed Sensor
  1. Locate the Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor

    • Raise the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
    • Remove the left front wheel to access the wheel speed sensor.
  2. Remove the Old Wheel Speed Sensor

    • Disconnect the electrical connector from the wheel speed sensor.
    • Remove the retaining bolt(s) securing the sensor to the hub assembly.
    • Carefully pull the sensor out of its mounting location.
  3. Install the New Wheel Speed Sensor

    • Lubricate the O-ring of the new wheel speed sensor with a small amount of grease.
    • Insert the new sensor into the hub assembly.
    • Secure it with the retaining bolt(s) to the specified torque (typically around 10-15 Nm).
    • Reconnect the electrical connector to the new sensor.
3. Reassemble and Test
  1. Reinstall the Wheel

    • Place the wheel back onto the hub and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
    • Lower the vehicle and torque the lug nuts to the manufacturer's specifications (usually around 100-120 Nm).
  2. Reconnect Battery

    • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  3. Clear Codes and Test Drive

    • Use the OBD-II scanner to clear the C0035 code.
    • Take the vehicle for a test drive to verify that the ABS and traction control systems are functioning correctly.
